Mehbooba took to social networking site Twitter to share the information and wrote: “Chaired a meeting to review the recruitment process by various agencies to ensure transparency & accountability in the system”.Chaired a meeting to review the recruitment process by various agencies to ensure transparency & accountability in the system.

The meeting has come at a time when voices are being raised from various quarters over the allegations of nepotism and favouritism in the recruitment process to close relatives of ruling dispensation.

Opposition parties have cornered government over alleged “fraudulent” selection of Aroot Madni, who is son of maternal uncle of the chief minister and son of PDP vice president Sartaj Madni.

Close relatives of PDP leaders who have figured in a fresh selection list issued by social welfare department include Rufiada Mansoor, daughter of PDP’s general secretary and Vice Chairman KVIB Peer Mansoor Hussain and Sahara Sayeed, daughter of Muhammad Sayeed Khan, brother-in-law of Sartaj Madni.
