National Conference leader and District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen has criticised the PDP-BJP dispensation led by CM Mehbooba Mufti for failing in safeguarding the lives of the common and innocent people of the state. While addressing the monthly day long Party workers’ meeting in Banihal today, Shaheen said that the PDP-BJP dispensation has not only failed on deliverance front but also failed in saving the lives and honour of the people .
Shaheen further said that on the one hand Shameful acts of rape & murder are taking place while reffering to 8 year old nomadic girl in Rassana village of Hiranagar, he said that instead of giving justice to the family of the victim some senior colleagues of CM are trying to communalise the rape-murder case to protect the people responsible for shameful and barbaric act & It is Unfortunate that CM Mehbooba Mufti has maintained a criminal silence on the issue & On the other hand Shopian like incidents of unabated bloodshed are taking place in Kashmir every now and then.
On the occasion Prominent political activists of Peoples’ Democratic Party and Congress today joined National Conference and reposed their faith in the policies and programmes of the party, saying it alone can preserve the single entity of Jammu and Kashmir and ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State.
Welcoming the new entrants into party-fold, District President Sajjad Shaheen said National Conference has always provided a vibrant platform to youth to play their designated role in the State polity and help in shaping its politico-economic destiny.
Shaheen described joining of public spirited political activists as vindication of pro-people policies of National Conference and the role played in socio-economic development and political empowerment of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh over the years. He said the State was passing through a most difficult phase, as the PDP-BJP dispensation has not only failed on deliverance front but was also responsible for halting pace of developmental effort, initiated by the previous government, under the dynamic leadership of Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister.
He congratulated the new entrants and hoped that with their joining National Conference will be further strengthened at the grass roots level to play its role in heralding peace and normalcy besides meeting the challenges on developmental and political fronts.
Those who joined the National Conference included PDP’s Youth block president Showkat Ah Bohru, Mohd Iqbal Tantray, Abdul Manhas, Mohd Imran Katoch, Imtiyaz Ahmed Katoch, Irfan Sidiqi Katoch, Ashiq Hussain Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Shah besides Sajad Hussain Naik, Shabir Ah Bali, Mohd Isaq Katoch, Mohd Iqbal Katoch and Irfan Bahar Katoch.
