Srinagar, July 29(GNS): PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday expressed concern over the situation across the Line of Control and condemned the use of force against peaceful protesters.

In a post on X, Mehbooba as per said the visuals emerging from the other part of Kashmir are “deeply heartbreaking” and it is “painful to see peaceful protesters being met with brute force.”

She urged the Government of Pakistan to adopt a more humane approach and to choose dialogue over force. “Reports suggest that the protesters’ demands are genuine and deserve to be heard,” she said.

“No nation grows stronger by disempowering its own people or by silencing them at gunpoint,” Mehbooba said, calling on the government to end the crackdown and stop the use of bullets against peaceful protesters.

She added that “Kashmiris deserve dignity, justice, and the right to be heard, not repression.”
