MeT predicts 2-day wet spell from Saturday

The Meteorological Department has predicted a two-day wet spell in Kashmir between 28th to 29th August which, it said, would decrease day temperature.Director Meteorological Department Kashmir, Sonam Lotus, told that they were expecting two day rainfall from Saturday onward and it would lead to more decrease in day temperatures in the valley.

“On 28 August, there are more chances of moderate rain, while on Sunday, there is a possibility of  light rain across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.On Wednesday, the summer capital Srinagar sizzled at 32.9 degrees Celsius while Kupwara recorded 33.3 degrees Celsius.As per traffic advisory, subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from both sides on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Thursday.
