MeT predicts light snowfall, rain over higher reaches today

The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecasted the possibility of light rain and snowfall over isolated higher reaches from today onward, officials said.

Director MeT, Srinagar Centre, Mukhtar Ahmad said that weather would remain generally cloudy in Kashmir with the possibility of light rain, and snowfall over isolated higher reaches tonight.

He said from 3-6th November, the weather will remain mainly dry, and from 7-8th November, there is again a forecast of light snow over isolated higher reaches.

Similarly from 9-10th November, the weather will remain generally cloudy with light rain/snow over few higher reaches. Overall no significant weather activity till 10th November, Director MeT added.
