Snow depth may vary from 6 inches to 5 feet (at isolated places)

The Kashmir Valley has been receiving intermittent rains for the last 24 hours, which has led to a slight increase in cold.

According to the Meteorological Department, erratic weather is expected in Kashmir Valley till March 15.

A spokesman of the MeT department said that rains in plains and snowfall in upper reaches is expected in Kashmir Valley till March 15 and the weather is likely to be worse from March 11 to 13.

“Moderate to heavy rainfall in plains with possibility of snowfall in some areas, Moderate to heavy snowfall in higher reaches – Snow depth may vary from 6 inches to 5 feet(at isolated places)” a MeT official said.
