One militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter at Waterhail area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday, Officials said.

A Police spokesman said that one militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter, however identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
ADGP Kashmir Kashmir Vijay Kumar earlier in a tweet said that Lateef Rather among three LeT militants trapped in encounter.
As per ADGP, Lateef Rather was involved in killing of Rahul Bhat, Ambreen Bhat and several other civilians.
Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “#BudgamEncounterUpdate: 01 #terrorist killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow. “
