SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh identified him as Owais Ahmad Mir, son of Bashir Mir, a resident of Brath Kalan Sopore.

He said the identity of another person killed in the accident at Warpora was being ascertained.

Mir had joined militancy only a fortnight ago.
