Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with the responsible tourism Society of India, CNA-ST IITTM, United Nations environment programme had organised a regional workshop on development of sustainable & responsible tourism destinations in hotel Ashok, New Delhi on 22nd March 2023. Different issues related to Eco tourism and responsible tourism were discussed during the workshop by different speakers, state tourism boards, heads of various tourism associations, organisations and officials of ministry of tourism. A Presentation on various developments was given by department of tourism, UT of Jammu and Kashmir via-a-viz ecotourism & responsible tourism by Shri.Minga Sherpa IAS, Managing Director  JKTDC. Shri. Sameer Baktoo (Convener) Eco Tourism Society of KASHMIR was also present during the event and Mr. Baktoo gave a presentation on various opportunities that are available in the UT in the field of ecotourism, he had put emphasis on responsible tourism and sustainable development of under developed destinations of Kashmir valley during his presentation. Shri. Sher Singh, JKAS,  Chief Executive Officer,
Patnitop Development Authority was also present during the event.
