BJP National Executive Member, Party Spokesperson & Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Ministry of Minority Affairs Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today had a meeting with Chief Minister of Goa Mr Pramod Sawant at Panjim. She was accompanied by CWC members Haneef Ali, T O Naushad and Waseem R Khan. The delegation of Central Waqf Council inspected Sufi shrines and assets & properties of the Minority community in Goa State and also held many meetings with the state departmental heads & field management staff. The delegation also visited many minority areas and talked to the cross section of people. Later Dr Andrabi shared the field inputs with the Chief Minister and expressed her satisfaction over the minority welfare in the state. She urged upon the Chief Minister to formulate a full-fledged State level Waqf Board in Goa as per the Central Waqf Act. In this connection a roadmap

document was also presented to Mr Sawant. Dr Andrabi was assured by the Chief Minister that the observations of CWC will be considered seriously and a decision will be taken soon. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi thanked CM for creation of a conducive inclusive developmental environment in Goa where the Prime Minister’s ‘sabka saath, sabka vikaas & sabka vishvas’ is seen everywhere in practicality. Mr Sawant informed the delegation that programmes & schemes of the Ministry of Minority Affairs have transformed the lives of minorities in the state. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi asked the Chief Minister to issue orders to the Social welfare Ministry to shift to digital mode of working for implementation of all Minority schemes & welfare so that transparency is ensured. Later speaking to media at Panjim Dr Andrabi said that BJP has succeeded in creating an all-inclusive developmental environ in India where no discrimination on religious, regional, linguistic or ethnic grounds is allowed. “Minorities oppose us as their politics of division are challenged by our inclusive political ideology. Objectively they fail to oppose BJP but then try to incite communities & groups on fake and false propaganda to nourish their divisive politics. But people have rejected their politics of hate,” said Dr Andrabi.
