Minors Driving Vehicles: Police holding awareness programmes in schools to tackle menace, says IG Traffic

Srinagar, Sep 21 : Inspector general of police Traffic, Vikramjit Singh on Wednesday said that to tackle the menace of minors driving vehicles, department is organising programmes in schools to make minors aware about the same, besides counselling is also done.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, Singh, as per news agency—said that enforcement is being done where ever minors are caught driving vehicles.

He said that recently in Jammu they got information about some minors driving vehicles, the police immediately swung into action and arrested them, besides their vehicles were also seized.

“Besides enforcement, we also do counselling of such minors and their parents not to indulge in these acts. We are also organising programmes in schools to make minors aware about the same,” he said
