Srinagar, Aug 15 ; Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq has expressed deep grief over the sudden demise of Mohammad Altaf Sheikh, son of Mohammad Siddiq Sheikh of Hafiz Bagh, Malabagh, and son-in-law of long-time Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar associate Bashir Ahmad Makaya, following a cardiac arrest.
Mirwaiz recalled the Sheikh family’s long-standing association with the Mirwaiz family, particularly the close relationship of Mohammad Siddiq Sheikh with Shaheed-e-Millat and his devoted attachment to the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar.
He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s son Mohammad Usman Sheikh, Bashir Ahmad Makaya and the entire bereaved family, and prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased Maghfirah, the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and patience and strength to the family. (KNS)
