Srinagar, April 17: Addressing the faithful at the historic Jama Masjid today, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that as Hujjaj begin their blessed journey to Baitullah from tomorrow, prayers are with them for a safe journey and acceptance of their Hajj
Mirwaiz said that this year the sacred journey of Hajj comes at a time when the world, especially the Middle East, is passing through a period of deep turmoil.
He said that across the region, particularly in Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine, immense suffering, bloodshed, and uncertainty are being witnessed. Innocent lives continue to be lost, people are living in constant fear, and entire populations are being displaced from their homes. He added that aggression by Israel, supported by the United States despite ceasefire commitments, continues unabated.
“In such a time, the pilgrimage of Hajj is not merely an individual ibadat, but a collective moment for the Ummah to raise its voice before Allah for peace and justice.
