Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that the missing Army jawan from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district has been recovered.
Quoting ADGP, Kashmir Police Zone, Kashmir Zone Police said, “#Missing Army jawan has been recovered by Kulgam Police. Joint #interrogation will start shortly after medical checkup. Further details shall follow: ADGP Kashmir.”
Pertinently a deeply concerning incident unfolded in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday evening when off-duty army personnel mysteriously went missing. In response, the army and police and other agencies launched an extensive search operation to trace the soldier’s whereabouts.
The soldier was identified as Javaid Ahmad Wani, son of Mohd Ayoub Wani from Asthal Kulgam.
