Mother is usually engaged in kitchen chores. Cooking is one of the chores that is specifically characterized as both physical and chemical process. This chore is regularly done in kitchens. During cooking, a series of science experiments is going on that amazingly reflect beautiful applications of chemistry. Our mother may not observe such things while cooking, as she may not have been taught by anyone about them. Knowledge is a tool that masters art. It can be achieved formally. Whatever, our mother is preparing for us in kitchen that works on chemistry by far. It is the hallmark to achieve mastery over cooking by doing all in a series of steps. The marvellous branch of science that majestically governs cooking is the striking features of chemistry. It has wide scope, but our perception may be low to recognize its true worth and applications. Kitchen is the best compartment wherein one can observe umpteen of science experiments. In morning and evening schedules, our mother is doing a lot of cooking chore that talks none other than chemistry. Most of the time, she performs basic chemistry experiments while dealing with cooking . Cooking is often considered an interesting chore that splendidly depicts a strong nexus with the one who plays a key role in kitchen. Our mother eagerly waits in kitchen for making multiple cuisines by taking the help of her loyal friend i.e, chemistry in getting things done. She learns chemistry by sharing her social learning experiences with it. As we know, cooking consists of physical as well as chemical processes. There are a few steps that are subjected to cooking. For example; (I).Washing of rice. (II). Boilng of rice. (III). Decantation: It is a process in which the boild water is separated out after vigorous heating of rice. All these processes are followed one after the other. In addition, there are many other processes that are basically chemical in nature like cooking of vegetables, meat, that are served during lunch and dinner time.

Dissolving sugar in water to form a sugar solution. Our mother is doing this thing with ease by taking two different substances such as solvent and solute to make a solution. Although, she does not know much about this process. A solution is made when water, (solvent) is added to salt (solute). Dilution is also a physical process, but simple. It is the process that attentuates concentration level of sugar in a solution that contains greater amount of solute part.

Concentration is an another term in solutions that describes the level solute in a solution. This is a basic level of chemistry that is connected with kitchen chores especially in cooking. We can teach our mother new terms about chemistry. She can learn better, if we practice her daily. Those who are studying in schools, colleges can help them in learning some terms such as; Solvent, Solute, Dilution, concentration, and so on. There should be no any kind of hesitation to teach them chemistry terms. Therefore, we must cultivate this learning habit in kitchen so that our mothers will learn things in a scientific way. A basic knowledge of chemistry in kitchen could be very helpful for our mother. She may not have knowledge about solutions, mixtures, seiving and decantation processes, that undergo physical changes. They are basic things to learn chemistry. These fascinating terms in chemistry are much interesting. Our mother is really a kitchen-scientist who deals almost with the chores that have a great role in chemistry. She is playing chemistry everyday with her hands by doing simple experiments. Chemistry is the backbone in cooking which undoubtedly gears up our mother to initiate the process of cooking. It guides her well to work effectively.

A Kitchen-scientist remains all time engaged in cooking. Her daily work is somehow akin to a student who performs chemistry experiments in lab. A Lab scientist might know the scientific procedure in doing the experiments. Likewise, a kitchen-scientist is doing experiments through simple steps. A kitchen seems a mini lab that keeps a cooking vigour intact. An educated son or a daughter can do a great help in making his/her mother to learn basic terms of chemistry. Let’s expose our mothers to the vibes of Chemistry. There is no hard and fast rule in learning scientific terms, but one thing is very important i.e; daily practicing. Chemistry is a loyal friend to our mother that can’t show any disloyalty to her in cooking. Let’s not be so quixotic to make them learn about new terms of chemistry, and a handful of scientific awareness providing to cooking is very imperative that would open their learning insights.
