Srinagar, Oct 26: Member of Parliament, Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan has spoken to the Union Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. The MP expressed serious concern over the hardships faced by the stranded pilgrims and their families, particularly elderly persons and those experiencing medical and financial difficulties. The prolonged uncertainty and additional expenses on accommodation, food, medicines and alternative travel arrangements have caused considerable distress among the affected pilgrims, he said.

The MP urged the concerned authorities to coordinate with the relevant agencies and airlines to arrange special flights for the stranded pilgrims and provide necessary financial assistance to those unable to bear the additional expenses of their return journey. He also stressed the need to ensure adequate arrangements for accommodation, food and medical care until their departure, particularly for elderly pilgrims and those with health concerns.

The MP emphasised that the safety and well-being of the stranded pilgrims should remain a priority and called for prompt and coordinated action to ensure that all affected pilgrims return home safely.
