Claims That Rates list sans any Technical Justification.
All Kashmir Mutton Wholesale, & Retail Association along with Chinar Sheep and Goat Welfare Association on Thursday while addressing to Media persons expressed shock and anguish over new rates of mutton set by the Authorities.
The association in a statement issued to that the rate of Mutton at Rs 480 has come as shocker to them and they mentioned that last time the rates were revised in 2016 and was set at 400Rs/kg.
They added that 20,000 families are linked to this business and the stakeholders were never brought in confidence while setting the rate list.
They clarified that after period of 5 years the rates have been increased by 80 Rs which is just 4% a year. They however claimed that standard guidelines should have been 10-15% a year.
More ever they termed the current rate list as disastrous and unacceptable too as it will wreck havoc of their business.
They asked the authorities to come up with any technical justification of rates which they have proposed.
At last they sought the intervention of LG Manoj Sinha in the matter.
