“We will not let anyone tamper with article 35A”
August 20th 2017 : The National Conference today said that after GST a new plan of PDP is to change the demography of J&K and in doing so they want to fragment our State by planting seeds of sub-regional animosity.
“Everyone should read chapters of history where Sher-e-Kashmir’s struggle of decades in jail is noted with golden letters as a valiant example of how proud we are of our political dignity and how we can never allow any political force to rob us of our political rights”, National conference leader and Political secretary Tanvir Sadiq today said in various public meetings in Zadibal.
Touring various areas like New colony, Gasiyar, Ganiedoori and Zadibal, Tanvir said that one of the leader of PDP had termed Article 370 as obstructionist which is the same language used by the BJP and the RSS.”
The NC leader said the recent extension of the GST regime to J&K through a Presidential Order, robbing the State of its fiscal autonomy, was the most recent instance when the PDP-led State Government and the Central Government had collaborated to inflict irreparable harm on the State’s Autonomy and Special Status. “The wound inflicted on the State’s autonomy through extension of GST is still fresh as another new machination has been launched to question the validity of Article 35A now.
“Its because of PDP they have seceded in implementing GST in Jammu And Kashmir State and they think they have achieved the first step of fiscal integration of the state with the rest of the country”
“If government of India does not file a strong counter affidavit in Supreme Court to defend article 35 and the verdict is not in the favour of the people of Jammu and Kashmir the repercussion will be unimaginable”
“We will do everything possible to ensure that Art35A is protected. we have not sold our soul like PDP” said Tanvir adding “I appeal to every right thinking permanent resident of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to spread awareness about our special status in general and and this article 35A in particular”
