Sagar, Nasir, Senior Leaders visit Baramulla, express solidarity with family
Srinagar | Saturday, 14th October, 2017: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Veteran National Conference leader and Former Law Minister Sheikh Mohammad Maqbool.
Expressing grief and sorrow over Maqbool’s demise, both leaders paid glowing tributes to the departed soul and highlighted his exemplary contributions in serving the people of the State in an illustrious political career and also said his contribution to the party would be remembered for all times to come. Lauding Maqbool for being an exemplary leader who apart from being a legal luminary was also known for his philanthropic work, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah extended their his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Senior party leaders led by National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar and Provincial President Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani visited Late Maqboo’s residence in Baramulla and extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Hundreds of party workers continued to throng Late Maqbool’s residence on Saturday to express solidarity with the family.
Earlier on Friday NC General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar presided over a condolence meet at party headquarters ‘Nawa-e-Subah’ where glowing tributes were paid to the departed leader. Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Vice President Chaudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leaders Mubarak Gul, Abdul Rahim Rather, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Sharif-ud-din Shariq, Muhammad Akbar Lone, Sakina Itoo, State Spokesperson Junaid Azim Mattu besides party legislators and senior office bearers also paid glowing tributes to Late Sheikh Mohammad Maqbool and expressed grief and sorrow over his demise.
