NC Women’s Wing Holds one-day convention at Shopian

Srinagar, October 10 : The National Conference of Shopian held a one-day women’s convention in Shopian.
The statement issued to reads that  female party members put their suggestions regarding empowerment of women and other issues. 
The event was headed by NC Women’s Wing president Shamema Firdous, party provincial president, Er. Sabiya Qadri. Ex MLC Shopian and District President NC Shopian, Showkat Hussain Ganie, Ex MLA and Constituency Incharge Shopian Sheikh Mohammad Rafi and Senior Leader and Block President were present on the occasion.
Shamema Firdous, while talking to the media, said that the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir are depressed and are under stress as the Govt machinery has completely failed to serve the common mass.
Meanwhile, Ex MLC Showkat Hussain Ganie has made serious allegations to Govt and alleged that the farmers are being put economic stress by keeping fruit-laden trucks halted on NH44 and the Apple industry of the kashmir has being victimsed for political benefits.
She  appealed LG Jammu and Kashmir that the Demands and Free movement of fruit laden Trucks must be ensured and implemented as 80 percent of Jammu and Kashmir is wholly and solly department on Apple trade.
