New Curtailment schedule with less Power cuts on cards this winter

Srinagar, Sep 16: With the augmentation of power infrastructure further in Jammu and Kashmir, the Valley would likely witness less power curtailments in the upcoming winter season while as the officials said that the new power curtailment scheduled will be announced in next month.

Talking to the news agency— Chief Engineer, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Javed Yousuf Dar, said that the power infrastructure has further been augmented in the past one year.

“There were less power curtailments in the last winters and with the further augmentation of power infrastructure, more relief is expected to the consumers this winters as well,” Dar said.

Asked about the new power curtailment scheduled for winters, he said that the present schedule will continue for the next one month and new schedule will be announced once the temperature plummets in Kashmir
