Baramulla, June 17 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached an immovable property belonging to an arrested accused in the Kanispora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

They said the property was attached under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in connection with NIA case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU.

The attachment was carried out following an order issued by the Special NIA Court, Jammu, on April 30, 2026, officials said.

Shaheen was earlier arrested by the NIA in an alleged illegal arms case and is presently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi, they added.
