Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has expressed deep concern over the assault on Kashmiri students in Mahendergar Haryana.*
Bhat said such mindless incidents vitiate atmosphere and shake confidence of Kashmiri people in the system.

“The pictures that have gone viral showing bruises on the body of Kashmiri youth is horrifying for anybody. A sense of  insecurity and mistrust prevailed already which gets compounded further through such ugly incidents. These incidents have far reaching consequences and need to be viewed seriously,” he said.

Bhat said Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has rightly asked Haryana government to take stern action and bring culprits to book. “She has also desired of union government to devise a uniform policy to prevent goons from going berserk so that lives , honour and careers of students all over India are protected,” he said.

Bhat said Kashmiris have been on receiving end for a malicious propaganda and are feeling unsafe even in the hands of law enforcing agencies.

He said it is imperative for any sane administration and sanner society that a civilised behaviour and just order prevails to allow everyone to enjoy liberty and right to live and move without fear .

Bhat hoped that civil society of India will play its role while he expected governments to be responsible and people- friendly.
