No harm in mixing of folic acid in rice: Director Consumer Affairs

Srinagar, Dec 24 : Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Kashmir, Abdul Salam Mir on Saturday said that in one quintal of rice, about one kilogram of folic acid is being mixed, which is absolutely correct and has no harm.
Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of a National Consumer Right Day 2022 here at Srinagar, he said that there is no harm in mixing the one KG folic acid in the one quintal of rice. “Everyone can use this rice without fear as it has no harm at all,” he said.
About free ration, he said that since yesterday we are also seeing a message on the internet in which it is being said that now again people will get free ration but we can’t say anything until an order comes from the government.
