A 28-year-old non-local who was employed by a Srinagar based restaurant to work as a helper in Lal Chowk area escaped with cash from the cafe on Saturday morning.

The helper identified as Purna sheikh of Guwahati broke open the drawer of the counter in Woodfire Pizza & Cafe and decamped with cash.
The owner has registered a complaint at Kothibagh Police station regarding the incident and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
Pertinently, few months before an elderly woman was allegedly killed by her non-local servant in Lal Bazar area of Srinagar.
Though there have been several cases of theft by these non-local helpers but time to time same has got unnoticed.(CNS)
