North Kashmir: Two Handwara residents killed after lorry hits car in Pattan

Two persons were killed in a road accident in Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday evening.

Reports said that a speeding truck (registration number JK05C- 6168) hit a car (registration number JK09 8208) on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway at Hamray, resulting into death of two persons.

The deceased, identified as Aashiq Ahmed War son of Sonauallah War and Azad Ahmed Pir son of Mohammad Amin Pir, were residents of Nowgam village of Handwara in frontier district of Kupwara.

A police official said that a case has been registered.
