Budgam May,2nd 2026 : The National School of Drama Theatre-in-Education Centre,  Srinagar, in collaboration with AEIMS INTERNATIONAL PRE-SEC SCHOOL & the J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, launched a 15-day Theatre-in-Education  workshop with school children at MANCHOWA, Budgam. The workshop, designed for the age groups  between 11–16 years,  aims to enriching the children’s learning experience and using theatre as a tool for holistic education & personality development.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Danish Yousuf, Chairman, of school  and  Ms. Faqira Feroze Wani administrator  who greeted  and expressed her happiness in hosting NSD’s educational theatre initiative.

Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary,Workshop Director & Coordinator NSD TIE Centre ,Srinagar J&K in his address explained the importance of TIE Workshop and emphasised the importance of such initiatives. He also reiterated the vision of Mr. Chittaranjan Tripathy, Director – National School of Drama, to strengthen theatre’s role in social and educational transformation.

Pertinently NSD TIE Centre, Srinagar has been actively conducting workshops, productions, and teacher training programmes across the Kashmir Valley to provide a creative platform for the younger generation and theatre practitioners.
