NSD TIE Workshop Culminates at Manchowa, Budgam with inspiring performance

Budgam, 19th May, 2026 :The 15 day-long TIE workshop organized by National School of Drama, TIE Centre, Srinagar in collaboration with AEIMS International Pre- Sec. School, Manchowa, Budgam culminated today with heart-warming and inspiring performances. Designed for 11-16 years of age group, the workshop aimed to cultivate life skills, nurture creativity, and unlock the latent potential of young minds through theatre.
The Chairman of the host school, Mr. Danish Yousuf graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Addressing the young participants and their parents, he lauded NSD TIE’s initiative to nurture creativity at the grassroots. He further said that these 15 days have given our children confidence, expression, and teamwork that no textbook can teach. I urge parents to encourage such creative pursuits alongside academics,”he said. He also appreciated the parents for supporting their children throughout the intensive workshop.
Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary Workshop Director & Coordinator, NSD T.I.E Centre Srinagar extended heartfelt gratitude to the school management and parents. While speaking on the occasion he said,” in these 15 days the children transformed from shy students to confident performers. This is the power of Theatre-in-Education. I thank the Chairman sahab for his vision, the parents for their trust, and most importantly, the children for their honesty and hard work,”
He acknowledged the efforts of participating students, resource persons and school management for making the workshop a success.
The event concluded with certificate distribution to all the participating students. Parents expressed happiness at the visible change in their children’s communication skills and stage presence.
