Srinagar, January 2 – KASHMIR PEN Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah addressed the media today, tackling multiple pressing issues, including the ongoing “Fire and Emergency Recruitment Scam,” the restoration of statehood, and rumors of central government pressure.
On the Recruitment Scam
Speaking about the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process for fire and emergency services, Omar Abdullah emphasized the need for patience. “We also want justice, but let the investigation process be completed. We can’t cut short the investigation process. Deserving candidates shall get justice,” he assured.
Statehood Restoration
The Chief Minister acknowledged that restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir remains the government’s top priority. “Getting statehood back is the biggest challenge for our government,” he said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to achieving this goal.
Satellite Colony Rumors
Dismissing speculations about the establishment of a satellite colony in Kashmir, Omar Abdullah clarified, “No proposal for the satellite colony in Kashmir so far.”
Rumors of Central Government Pressure
The Chief Minister also debunked allegations of pressure from the central government or the BJP on his administration. “No one is pressuring me or any of my ministers from the central government or BJP for anything. These are just rumors,” he stated categorically.
Commitment to Promises
Reiterating his dedication to public service, Omar Abdullah promised to fulfill all commitments outlined in the government’s manifesto. “We will fulfill the aspirations of the people and all promises mentioned in the manifesto in our five-year tenure,” he concluded.
