Srinagar, Nov 24: Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today attended the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Directors of Industries & Commerce, Kashmir/Jammu, and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India Limited.
The MoU represents a major initiative aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Union Territory. Under the agreement, the NSE will collaborate with the Industries & Commerce Departments to enhance investment opportunities, promote financial literacy, and support capacity-building measures for startups and MSMEs.
Calling it a “significant step towards boosting entrepreneurship, attracting investment, and enabling employment generation across Jammu & Kashmir,” Omar Abdullah said the partnership with the NSE would open new avenues for young entrepreneurs and help integrate the region’s business landscape with national financial markets.
