Opposition leader and National Conference working president Omar Abdullah on Thursday asked state government to seek enhancement from center in upper age limit for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspirants of the state.
While, raising this issue in the zero hour, Omar said that Government of India should revoke its decision regarding relaxation in upper age limit for state’s youth.
“Such decisions demoralize educated youth of the state,” he said and asked the government to seek age enhancement for the state’s UPSC aspirants from the central government.
Omar also said that it should be made clear to whether the state government was taken into confidence to take the decision of diminution in the upper age limit for state’s UPSC aspirants. “We don’t know whether state government was taken into confidence to take such decision,” he said.
Omar also said that all the investment from state’s UPSC aspirants will go waste, since they have spent lakhs on coaching and study material.
