Opposition walks out from assembly over govt’s failure to make admin units functional

The opposition members of National Conference and Congress on Thursday staged a walkout from the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to protest against the government’s failure to make newly created administrative units functional.

NC senior leader and other opposition members jumped into the well of House. They were waving banners with messages, ‘make administrative units functional’.

They created pandemonium in the House and blamed the government for its “failure” on all fronts.

“The way government is working you won’t see us here inside the House,” Devender Rana told the House and staged a walkout from the House along with other opposition members.
