Ganderbal, Sep 16 :  The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. Baseer Ahmad Khan took detailed sector wise review of both Ganderbal and Bandipora districts in meetings of Sectoral officers held at Ganderbal today separate.

DDC Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla and DDC Bandipora Mr. Sajad Hussain presented a power point presentation of developmental achievements of their respective districts registered upto August 2017.

          An allocation of Rs17.92 crore has been exhausted on execution of various development works and welfare schemes of the Ganderbal district, out of district dev.  Plan allocation of Rs 101.16 Crores earmarked for current fiscal year.

Construction work on 200 bedded District hospital Ganderbal is apace at an allocation of Rs 52.56 Crores. Only finishing work is going on where as hospital complex has been almost completed by JKPCC and would be handed over to the health department next month 15th of October the meeting was informed. Besides other major project, Yechama bridge and Govt. Degree College Kangan would be completed by ending November this year, meeting was informed.

Construction work is apace on other major projects including Govt. Diet Building Nunar, Mother-Cum-Child care hospital kangan, engineering college Safapora, Polytechnic college Hatbura, General bus stand and Dak Bunglow Ganderbal are near completion, where as construction work on Central University complex Tulmulla is in progress in Ganderbal District which would complete in near future.

Reviewing road connectivity works as many as 20 km roads were black toped, 4.25 km roads constructed under Grade-1,18.40km roads under Grade- II and 17km under Grade III,  were completed under water bound macadamization. Besides 1312 running Meter’s (RM) retaining wall, 392 RM pipe laying, 2142 RM drains and 7 culverts were completed in Ganderbal District.

An allocation of Rs.1055.60 lacs have been earmarked under District Development plan for Bandipora District out of which Rs.801.02 lacs have been spent on execution of various development and welfare schemes upto ending July last current year.

As many as 30 Major projects including District Hospital, Community Health Center, Dak Banglow, Water supply schemes of Aloosa Ghat, Tanghat, Panhar , Ajas and Govt. Degree College Gurese besides some road projects are near completion.  These works would be completed in near future in Bandipora District.

          Divisional Commissioner impressed upon officers that no laxity be tolerated over quality control of works. Moreover roads constructed would serve the people at least for ten year without repairs. He further directed them to re-double their efforts to complete the development works within stipulated time frame. Director Food & CAPDS Mr. Nissar Ahmad, SSP’s of Ganderbal and Bandipora, ADDC Ganderbal and Sectoral officer of both the Districts attended.
