Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the CMO said that elaborate arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth and comprehensive coverage across the district. A total of 508 vaccination booths have been established, including 12 transit booths at key locations to cover children on the move.

He said the transit booths have been set up at strategic points such as the National Highway near the Navug Tunnel, Mir Bazar, Wanpoh, Qazigund, and various railway stations to ensure no child is left out of the immunisation drive.

He further said that, due to prediction of wet spell all elaborate arrangements have been put in place.

Dr. Showkat appealed to parents and guardians to cooperate with health teams and ensure that all eligible children are administered the life-saving drops to keep Kulgam polio-free. (KNC)
