Srinagar, Apr 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the tragic bus accident in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Taking to X, Prime Minister’s PMO office worte, he was pained to hear about the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.

The Prime Minister also announced ex-gratia relief, stating that ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) will be given to the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured will receive ₹50,000 as assistance.
