Islamabad, April 12: Pakistan has called on the United States and Iran to maintain their commitment to the ongoing ceasefire following the conclusion of high-level talks in Islamabad.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized that it is “imperative that the parties continue to uphold their commitment to ceasefire.” He expressed hope that both sides would move forward with a positive spirit to achieve lasting peace and regional stability.
The statement comes after marathon negotiations between Washington and Tehran ended without a final agreement, though both sides have been urged to keep the fragile ceasefire intact.
Pakistan also reiterated its willingness to continue facilitating dialogue between the two nations in the coming days.
