Star cricketer Parvez Rasool has been appointed technical advisor (cricket) in the J&K State Sports Council.
According to official statement, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council’s endeavor to rope in professionals in the setup has got a big boost with appointment of Parvez.
“The latest appointment is seen as part of the efforts of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is also the president of the Council to professionalize the sports completely.”
While congratulating the Cricketer Rasool, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari tweeted, “Congratulations Parvez Rasool for being appointed Tech Advisor (cricket) in J&K State Sports Council.” (Sic.)
Secretary Sports council congratulated Rasool and hoped that his appointment will boost the energies of youth in the field of cricket and wished him best.
It is pertinent to mention here that Parveez Rasool is an All-rounder who bowls off spin and bats right handed hails from Bijbehara Anantnag and will remain as the man of firsts from Jammu and Kashmir- as he became the first cricketer from the state to represent India at national level.
He was also the first player from J&K who played in the best domestic T-20 league in the worle (Indian Premier League)
