The washrooms at Government Medical College Baramulla are in an utterly unhygienic condition, causing a huge inconvenience to the patients and attendants alike.

Several patients admitted at the hospital Tuesday, expressing their resentment told that the unclean washrooms can lead to serious infections as, according to them the authorities concerned have failed to keep up with the cleanliness standards.

A local identifying himself as Sajad Ahmad Sofi told that the hospital caters to hundreds of patients on a daily basis, however it lacks proper washrooms, resulting in inconvenience for patients and attendants as well.

“The foul smell emanating from the washrooms is highly irritating,” he said.
