A pedestrian was killed after reportedly being hit by a car in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening. 

Reports said that one Bashir Ahmad Khanday son of Khazir Ahmad Khanday was hit by a Maruti Suzuki (Ritz) bearing registration number JK01Q-7136 at Kunzer Manglora. The person was evacuated from the spot to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Confirming the death of the individual, a police official told that the driver alleged to be involved in the accident has been detained and his vehicle also seized. 

“A case has been registered in this regard for due investigations”, the official further said. (GNS)
