Police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam have solved a theft case and recovered the stolen property, arresting the accused within 24 hours.

A police spokesperson said that Police Station Budgam received a complaint from one Muhammad Hussain Malla of Paller Budgam complaining therein that theft has occurred at his house and gold ornaments worth rupees 1.5 lakhs were stolen.

Accordingly, a case FIR number 12/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered.

During investigation, Police team of Police Station Budgam called many suspects and finally arrested one suspect namely Ajaz Ahmed Rather from Dangerpora Sumbal Bandipora.

During questioning, upon the disclosure of arrested, the stolen property was recovered. The stolen items included 4 gold rings and 10 gold ear rings. (KNT)
