Police arrested 7 persons for defying govt orders in Ganderbal, Srinagar

Acting tough against the violators of Government prohibitory orders, Police in Ganderbal and Srinagar have arrested 07 persons and seized 03 vehicles for defying the restriction orders imposed by government.

In Ganderbal, Police have arrested 03 tipper drivers in the jurisdictions of PS Ganderbal and PS Kheer Bhawani for defying the restriction orders imposed by government in view of Covid-19 and seized 03 tippers. Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective Police Stations and further investigations into the cases have been initiated.

In Srinagar, Police have arrested 04 persons in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sadder for defying the restriction orders imposed by government in view of Covid-19. Case FIR number 70/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in police station and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Police have once again requested the general public to follow the restrictions imposed by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and those who are violating the restriction orders will be dealt strictly.
