Police attaches properties of notorious drug peddlers in Awantipora

Continuing its operation against drug peddlers/smugglers, Police in Awantipora attached three (03) double storied concrete residential houses valuing approximately Rs 71,58,010/- (Seventy-One Lacs fifty-eight Thousand and Ten rupees) belonging to three notorious drug peddlers.

A Police spokesperson said, The properties of three notorious drug peddlers namely Shabir Ahmad Parray son of Kamal Parray, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Ahmad Bhat and Ishfaq Amin Bhat son of Mohd Amin Bhat all residents of Chersoo Awantipora have been seized under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.

“These residential houses were identified as illegally acquired properties during the course of enquiry conducted by SHO Police Station Awantipora Insp. Zahoor Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti (SP) which were accrued from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic Substances by these drug peddlers”, he said.

All the three notorious drug peddlers are currently detained under PIT-NDPS Act and are lodged at Central Jail Kot Balwal Jail Jammu.
