Police clarifies news reports regarding salaries of J&K police personnel on hold for two months

Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar on Thursday said the reports doing rounds on social media that Police personnel have not been paid salaries for last two months are fake.

While quoting ADGP Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet informed, “Regarding a fake news doing rounds on social media that the salary of Police personnel hadn’t been paid for past 2 months, It’s hereby clarified that every DDO has got sufficient funds in salary heads.”

Meanwhile, J&K Police also tweeted and said, “Some social media accounts,media persons and individuals are falsely reporting that due to non availability of budget the salary of the police employees covered under NPS could not be drawn.There is no truth in it and is far from the facts.”

“Therefore,this false information is rebutted. It is informed that Police Headquarters has made available adequate funds to all its units for salary of its employees including those covered under NPS”, it said.
