Srinagar, Oct 9 : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Sujit Kumar Singh on Friday said that police, CRPF and civil administration were working in coordination to ensure security and smooth arrangements for devotees at Charar-e-Sharief during the ongoing Urs.
Speaking to news agency , IGP Kashmir Sujit said, he visited the shrine along with his team to review the security and law-and-order arrangements in view of the large number of devotees visiting the shrine.
He said police personnel, CRPF and the civil administration, along with the ambulance and fire services, were working in coordination to facilitate devotees and maintain smooth arrangements.
The IGP congratulated the teams for their efforts and said he prayed for peace, tranquillity and prosperity at the revered shrine, for Jammu and Kashmir Police and for the entire Union Territory.
