Police help pregnant woman to get shifted to maternity hospital

Police helped a fast pregnant woman from North Kashmir amid lockdown, much satisfaction to the family members and locals.

Police sources told that a Bandipora family presently living in Chanapora area of Srinagar city sought help from police after one of the woman family members developed severe labour pain.

The family head Abdul Majid Khan, a resident of Quel Magam Bandipora had failed to get a vehicle due to blockade of roads and lockdown. Chowki Officer, Police Post Chanapora swung into action and arranged a vehicle for the pregnant woman. He managed to shift the woman to Lal Ded Hospital Srinagar. ( KNT )
