Police Launches Investigation As Woman Sustained Bullet Injury during Night Hours

Awantipora Police on Saturday claimed that they have launched an investigation into the incident in which a woman was shot and injured during the night in Tral of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The incident took place in Darganai Gund area of Tral.

In a statement issued to police mentioned that a 36-year-old Shakila Bano, wife of Ghulam Nabi Lone, resident of Dar Ganai Gund (Tral) was shot during the night, after which her in-laws rushed her to Aripal Hospital from where she was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral.

Police added that the woman’s in-laws tried to hide the fact that she had been shot, but when she was rushed to Srinagar’s Saddar Hospital in critical condition, doctors found that she had been shot in the body.

Immediately after it, a police team later arrived at the woman’s home and found a bullet fired during a search.

Meanwhile Police have registered a case FIR No. 25/2021 under relevant sections of law and Investigation taken up. Further investigation is going on and evidences is being gathered.
