Officials said the action was launched to curb the unlawful extraction and movement of mineral resources in the district.

In the first operation, a police team from Police Post Janglatmandi raided Donipawa area and detected illegal mining activity. One JCB machine and four tippers allegedly involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals were seized on the spot, and legal proceedings were initiated.

In a separate operation during night patrolling, a police party from Police Post Dialgam intercepted five dumpers at Bondialgam Crossing, suspected of being used for illegal transportation of mineral material. Police said an FIR (No. 157/2026) under Section 305(e) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered and investigation is underway.

Police reiterated their commitment to protecting natural resources and warned of strict action against those involved in illegal mining and mineral smuggling. The public has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any such activities in their areas.
