During the visit, the DC carried out inspections at various critical points, aimed at ensuring swift restoration of connectivity and addressing challenges posed by the snowfall.

The DC assessed on ground conditions along the Bandipora-Gurez route. He interacted with the teams involved in snow clearance operations to gain first-hand insights into the progress and challenges faced during the process.

Qadri emphasized the need to speed up the process of clearance and directed the concerned authorities to continue operations in all affected areas to minimize disruptions. Availability of Anti-skid chains with vehicles travelling along the Bandipora-Gurez road was also inspected during the visit.

Highlighting the administration’s commitment to addressing such challenges, the DC assured the public that all necessary resources and assistance have been mobilized. He informed that control rooms have been activated at district, sub-divisional, and field level for real-time monitoring and instant action.

The administration remains focused on maintaining seamless coordination among departments to ensure the safety and well-being of residents during this period of inclement weather.

The DC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Bandipora and other officials during the visit.
