President Academy approves grant to voluntary cultural, literary organizations

Srinagar, July, 18, 2017:

President, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) Tuesday
approved grant of financial assistance to the Voluntary Cultural and
Literary Organizations of the State for the year 2015-16.
Giving details Secretary JKAACL, Dr Aziz Hajini said that as per the
recommendations of the Expert Committees (Inspection Committee), the
President JKAACL has approved cumulative financial assistance of Rs
26.53 lakh for 97 literary and cultural organisations of Jammu,
Kashmir and Ladakh for the financial year 2015-16.
“Since necessary approval has come, the Academy will hasten the
process of release of grant in aid in respect of approved
organizations,” Hajini said.
As per details, 124 organisations had applied for the grant of
financial assistance. However, the Inspection Committee of the Academy
recommended 97 organizations for grant of financial assistance to the
tune of Rs 26.53 lakh.
