JAMMU, March 01 : President, Jammu and Kashmir Brahman Sabha, Atul Sharma alongwith many youth today joined Apni Party in presence of senior leaders at Gandhi Nagar Party Headquarters.
In a statement to the press, the joining programme was organized by Adv Tajinder Singh at the Party Office.
In this programme, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Former Minister and senior leader Dilawar Mir, General Secretary Vijay Bakaya, General Secretary Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh, State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra, State Coordinator SC Bodh Raj Bhagat, Vice President Youth Wing J&K Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya, Provincial President Jammu Youth Wing, Gourav Kapoor, Ex-MLA Bishnah Kamal Arora, Ex-MLA Faqir Nath among others participated.
Led by President J&K Brahman Sabha, Atul Sharma, over a dozen youth namely Varun Sharma, Akash Sharma, Rocky, Sahil, Pritpal, Aru, Abhinandan, Ashok, Narinder, Parvesh, Vicky and others joined Apni Party in presence of senior leaders of the Party.
Welcoming them into the party folds, Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir said that “Jammu people are joining Apni Party as they are impressed with the political ideology of the Party which is based on truth.”
Mir said that the Apni Party promotes brotherhood and unity among the two regions. “We are unlike other political parties who promote hatred to garner support to stay in power. We are not for power but want to take people on the right path of truthfulness. We do not exploit people with false promises and emotional slogans. We promise what is achievable,” he added.
He said that the party stands with the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K.
Meanwhile, Former Minister and senior leader of the Party, Mohammed Dilawar Mir said that the Party will not allow anyone to create divisions among the two regions.
“We have to bring together people of two regions and work for development in J&K. The unity will bring peace and prosperity,” said Dilawar Mir.
General Secretary and Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya said that the youth have especially attracted to the party and its development centric policy.
Bakaya said that “Tourism sector should be strengthened in J&K to generate employment opportunities in J&K. The Govt of India has taken several steps under new industrial policy and the youth should avail the benefits of the schemes launched by the Govt.”
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary of the Party Vikram Malhotra welcomed Atul Sharma and other youth into the Party and hoped that their joining will strengthen the Party.
“There is disappointment among the educated youth of J&K that they have hopes with the Apni Party. The BJP in Jammu has exploited the sentiments of people for their political gains and failed to fulfill the promises they made with the people during elections. The people are alienated with bureaucratic attitude in absence of an elected Govt,” said Malhotra.
He said that the Govt should hold elections in J&K so that the elected Govt can work for the people. “No one listens to the people neither in Jammu nor in Kashmir,” he said.
Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh said that the youth have hopes with the Apni Party.
“The Party has generated a new hope among the people in a situation where they find themselves in trouble because of official negligence to their issues,” said Manjit Singh.
He said that the Party will leave no stone unturned to come up to the expectation of the people of both the regions.
State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra, State Coordinator SC Bodh Raj Bhagat, Vice President Youth Wing J&K Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya, Provincial President Jammu Youth Wing, Gourav Kapoor, and Ex-MLA Bishnah Kamal Arora also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Ajaz Kazmi, Saleem Choudhary, Vipul Bali, Shubam, Janmeet Singh Bali, Gohar Rasheed Wani, Rinku Arora, JP Singh, and others.
